A standard move is measured by whether everything arrived. This one is measured by whether you can live in the house that evening — beds made up, art on the walls, the kitchen unpacked and the cardboard gone.
Between those two things sit about forty decisions, and a white glove move is simply the one where somebody else makes them.

How it works
Four stages, and only one of them is the day itself
Most of a white glove move happens before and after the vehicle arrives. That is the whole of the difference, and it is why the planning takes longer than the carrying.
A survey that names things
We walk the property and list items, not rooms. Each piece that needs its own handling is recorded with its dimensions, its material and how it comes off the wall or out of the alcove — and so is the route it will travel.
The same walk settles the questions that cost hours later: which doorways the large pieces will not pass, where the vehicle can stand, and what the building will and will not permit.

Preparation, chosen per piece
Protection is decided by what a thing is, not by which room it came from. A designer sofa, a glazed frame and a marble top need three different answers, and using one answer for all three is what "premium packing" usually means.
Wardrobes are emptied into labelled cartons that go back into the same wardrobe. Beds are stripped and the linen travels with the bed, so the first thing that can be done at the other end is make it up.

The day, sequenced
A dedicated crew and one person who owns the day. Loading follows the unloading plan rather than the truck: what has to be in place first goes on last.
Fragile and high-value pieces travel apart from the household load — never stacked under cartons, which is the most common way good furniture is damaged on an otherwise careful move.

And then the part nobody else does
Delivery is the middle of this service, not the end. Furniture is reassembled and placed where you want it — not where it landed. Boxes are unpacked, contents put away, and every sheet of cardboard, roll of tape and blanket leaves with us.
What you should be left with is a house, not a project. If a piece is in the wrong room, we move it before we go.

Questions
What makes this different from your standard move?
Two things you can check. The plan is made per item rather than per room, and the job is not finished until the house is unpacked, the furniture is placed and the packaging has gone. A standard move ends when the van is empty.
Do you really unpack everything?
Yes, if you want us to. Room by room, contents put away, and the cardboard removed the same day. Some clients want the kitchen and the bedrooms only — that is a normal request.
Who is in charge on the day?
One supervisor, from the first carton to the last, at both properties. You should not have to explain the same thing twice to two different people.
Can you handle artwork, antiques and a piano in the same move?
Yes, and each is planned separately inside it. A piano is its own job with its own crew and equipment; art travels apart from the household load.
Will you take my chandelier down?
A hung fitting, usually yes. Anything wired or built in should come down by an electrician or the installer, and we will tell you which yours is at the survey rather than find out on the day.
How far ahead should I book?
Two to three weeks where possible. The survey is the long part, and a plan made properly is what the rest of this page depends on.
What does it cost?
More than a standard move, because it is more work — the survey, the materials, the unpacking and the removal of everything afterwards. It is quoted per property, and what is included is written on the quotation.
